Experimenting with a brush pen, to draw smooth lines of varying width. I haven't coded up any compensation for the brush tip lagging behind the center specified in the vector drawing, so there are gaps, especially at the stem.

I'm building a second, smaller plotter that I temporarily repurposed to add a rack-and-pinion pen lift to for the brush pen. It's quite difficult to get the height adjustment right without staining the paper in the process so the black portion needed a few attempts.
